Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

Carnivalé Postponed

All families are advised that following a well-attended meeting of the Carnivalé committee last night it was decided to postpone our 2013 Carnivalé to the 2nd half of the year. All families will be advised of the new date in due course.

Welcome

We welcomed our 600th student last week – Eva to 5C and our 601st tomorrow – Jade to 3 / 4 J. The ever increasing student enrolment at our school coupled with four different office staff working at the front office across the week has led us to begin a new policy for adults when collecting students from school. We have added a sign in the foyer stating “Please do not be offended if we ask for photo ID when collecting students from school”. This is to ensure that office staff are always clear as to the identity of adults who present to collect students from school. We hope our families understand and support the reason for this request.

Congratulations

The annual Far North Coast Dance Festival is fast approaching with our students participating on Wednesday 5th June. This is one of the highlights of the school year in our public schools and a number of our students will have the opportunity to perform at the Gold Coast Arts Centre in three different dance items. Thanks to Miss Trew, Mrs Wynne and dance teachers Louise and Katherine for their planning, time and expertise in preparing the students throughout terms 1 & 2.

THASP Information Session

The THASP information session for those invited parents who could not attend on Monday evening will be repeated this Friday at 2.00pm in KC classroom.
