WELCOME MR TAYLOR
During the holiday break, Mr Paul Taylor from Turramurra North Public School has been appointed through merit selection as the Principal at Banora Point Primary School. I am sure you will join me in welcoming Paul to Banora Point Primary School in Term 2. Monday he met with staff, students and parents ahead of his official starting date of Monday 22 May. I will remain relieving in the role of Principal until Mr Taylor joins us in Week 5 and Miss Therasa Trew will relieve as Deputy Principal during this time. Thank you to Mrs Hilary Dance - Wilson for her outstanding leadership, support and commitment to the relieving Deputy Principal position last term. She will resume her role as the teacher of 5/6DW and Stage 3 Assistant Principal.
Congratulations and thank you to all the students who represented our school at the Anzac march on Tuesday. Thank you also to staff members Mr Mac, Mrs Crawford and Mrs Esgate for volunteering their time to attend. Thank you to Mrs Esgate who also coordinated our school ceremony on Monday.

Ryan has been working hard on his creation of a comic over the past few weeks and features some familiar characters from our school. Ryan has shared his work with me and will be doing a special reading for his class and extend it to the library in the coming weeks for others to enjoy. Well done Ryan!
